Verbatim Purchases CORE Flash™ Portfolio License

CUPERTINO, California – January 16, 2009 – Alliacense today announced that Verbatim® Americas, LLC, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation – a recognized world leader in the chemical and computer industries, has purchased a license to the CORE Flash™ Patent Portfolio from The TPL Group.  The agreement makes Verbatim the eighth company to purchase a CORE Flash license in the past 15 months.

Alliacense developed the CORE Flash Portfolio Licensing Program to serve leading system manufacturers and marketers of consumer electronics, computer systems, and printers, as well as retail digital photofinishing service providers, according to Sanderson. He also stated that licensing opportunities are being discussed with dozens of major system manufacturers and marketers worldwide.

The CORE Flash Portfolio contains intellectual property that was developed and productized by The TPL Group’s OnSpec Division.
