CUPERTINO, Calif. – Jan. 04, 2008 – Alliacense today announced that Humax Corporation, Ltd. has purchased a Moore Microprocessor Patent™ (MMP) Portfolio license from The TPL Group. Humax manufactures and distributes a broad range of digital set top box, LCD television and satellite radio products.
”The MMP Portfolio Licensing Program continues its rapid growth, with Humax being the tenth new licensee in just the past month,” said Rick Schuette, Vice President, Intellectual Property for Alliacense. “Licensing activity has increased dramatically in the past month, most likely due to TPL’s successful Markman ruling and its settlement with the remaining defendants in the MMP patent infringement case in Texas.”
