CSR plc Purchases Fast Logic™ Portfolio License

San Jose, Calif. – August 11, 2014 Alliacense today announced that CSR plc has purchased a Fast Logic™ Portfolio license from The TPL Group.  The agreement resolves the patent infringement lawsuit filed by The TPL Group against Zoran Corporation, with whom CSR plc merged in 2011.

The TPL Group continues to demonstrate its commitment to invest in the protection of its licensees.  In September 2011 it filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the US District Court for the District of Delaware against 18 of the companies it believes is infringing the Fast Logic Patent Portfolio.  More than half of those defendants have purchased licenses.

CSR plc joins more than 30 other global electronics leaders who have purchased Fast Logic licenses since the licensing program began in 2007, including Samsung, Broadcom, Sony and Freescale.
