Coby Electronics Purchases CORE Flash™ Portfolio License

CUPERTINO, California – September 30, 2011 – Alliacense today announced that Coby Electronics has purchased a license to the CORE Flash™ Portfolio from The TPL Group.  The agreement resolves the ITC investigation and patent infringement lawsuit initiated last month by the TPL Group against Coby and 18 other companies for infringement of TPL’s CORE Flash Portfolio.

Coby is a key player in the consumer electronics industry and was named the #1 selling digital photo frame brand in the US for 2008.  This agreement makes Coby the twentieth company to purchase a CORE Flash Portfolio license, joining a growing roster of global market leaders including Lenovo, Asustek, Belkin, Lexmark and Philips.
