Bosch Purchases Fast Logic™ Portfolio License

CUPERTINO, Calif. – Aug. 27, 2008 – Alliacense today announced that Robert Bosch GmbH has purchased a Fast Logic™ Portfolio license from The TPL Group.  Bosch manufactures and sells a wide range of automobile systems, consumer tools and appliances, as well as industrial and trade products and services.

“We welcome Bosch as one of our first Fast Logic Portfolio licensees” said Joe Minville, Vice President, Licensing for Alliacense. Noting the widespread use of the Fast Logic Portfolio technologies, he added, “We are actively engaging dozens of other companies worldwide to discuss Fast Logic Portfolio licensing opportunities.”

The Fast Logic Portfolio protects innovative design techniques that have enabled many past and currently available commercial products to achieve significant performance advantages. The related patents are fundamental to dozens of microprocessor-based key features and benefits in contemporary consumer and commercial products ranging from mobile phones, personal computers and servers to automobile systems, scientific instruments and medical equipment.

“This Fast Logic Portfolio agreement marks an important milestone as our fifth royalty producing licensing program under Alliacense management since the company’s founding in 2004,” said Mac Leckrone, President of Alliacense.  “We are obviously pleased with the market’s response to our unique approach to licensing”.

About the Fast Logic Portfolio

The Fast Logic Portfolio contains intellectual property that was initially developed by Thunderbird Technologies of Morrisville, NC. The Fast Logic Portfolio includes many popular design techniques for the implementation of high-speed logic circuits that improve the speed, power consumption, and noise immunity of digital CMOS based integrated circuits. The Fast Logic Portfolio technologies are used widely in the memory and logic circuits on which modern microprocessor-based systems rely. After pursuing the technologies for over a decade, Thunderbird entered into a joint venture with TPL in 2007 to strengthen and extend their R&D efforts as well as to commercialize the proprietary Fast Logic Portfolio technologies.
