Applications
- Flash media cards such as CompactFlash, SmartMedia, Memory Stick, MultiMediaCard, Secure Digital Card and xD-Picture Card have found widespread use and have prompted original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to support multiple popular formats with interface software/hardware that exploit innovations protected by the CORE Flash™ portfolio.
- OEM products that currently support multiple card formats include PCs of every type – e.g. notebooks and desktops as well as those serving special applications such as media-center PCs. Moreover, multi-format Flash card readers are found in printers, DVD players/recorders, digital TVs, game consoles, image banks (e.g. portable hard drives with a multi-slot card reader), digital picture frames, USB Flash read/write card accessories, PCMCIA multimedia adapters, and even commercial photo kiosks.
