Adrian Sfarti

Dr. Adrian Sfarti is the inventor of 3D ART technology.  He has spent his career developing video and graphics technology.  He holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, a Masters in Electrical Engineering, and a PhD in Relativistic Electrodynamics.

 

  •  In the early 1990’s, Sfarti worked at Silicon Graphics, a key innovator in the emerging computer graphics market.  While at Silicon Graphics, Sfarti developed the INDY 3D Graphics workstation, a key product for SGI that introduced 3D graphics and video to a mainstream audience.
  • In the mid 1990’s, Sfarti worked at The 3DO Company, a developer of advanced 3D gaming consoles.  Sfarti was responsible for the development of 3DO’s next generation 3D game console.
  • In the late 1990’s, Sfarti worked as the Director of Engineering at ATI Technologies.  While at ATI, Sfarti led the development of chips for CPU, core logic, advanced graphics and DVD controllers.
  • Sfarti currently works at Key ASIC, as the Director of Video Products.  At Key ASIC, Sfarti develops system on chips for 3D graphics accelerators, de-interlacing and scaling and AV decoding.
  • Sfarti holds 29 patents in networking, CPU and GPU architectures.  He is a widely published author, and also works as an instructor for Computer Graphics Architectures at the University of California, Berkeley.
